What is it?
This is a fantastic opportunity for regional artists to showcase their work with an internationally award-winning Australian gin brand. The successful artwork and artist name will be featured on the 2023 Summer Gin bottle label, sold in NSW and online across Australia. The successful artist will also have the opportunity to showcase their work in a Foyer Space exhibition at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery in 2024.
$1000 Cash Prize & More
The winning artwork will feature on the label of a new Summer Gin produced by Bathurst Grange Distillery. The winning artwork will be featured on the bottle until next year's commission is announced. The artist will receive a $1,000 cash prize for their artwork and will be the recipient of a Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Foyer Space exhibition valued at over $500. All finalists will be invited to the award ceremony and will receive a complimentary bottle of gin.
Theme & Selection Panel
This year's theme is Summer. Artists are judged based on ability to express creativity and technique in response to the theme. Impress the selection panel with contemporary ideas of what Summer represents across our country landscape.
About the Gin
This is a new release gin for summer. It is light and aromatic with fresh, fruity flavors, distilled using summer fruit, lavender, lime, and juniper. Summer Gin is distilled at our farm in Bathurst on Wiradjuri Country in a copper column still using traditional craft distilling techniques.
